St. Albert's School Alumni Association

St. Albert's School Alumni Association was inaugurated On November 15, 2011 (Albertian Day) by Mr. Tony Chammany (Mayor of Cochin) who is an old student of St. Albert's HSS (1987 SSC Batch) by giving first application form to Archbishop Dr. Francis Kallarckal (Chief Patron). Fr. Jacob Baiju Ben (General Manager & Patron) & Mathew MG (1982 SSLC Batch & Secretary) of the Association was present at the function.


Membership is open to the old students who have attained 25 years of age. Life Membership fees is Rs 300/ and two passport size photographs also required for membership. The Association has given Guru Vandanam to old retired Teachers who are above 70 years of age on December 16, 2012 and conducted Eye camp and Bood donation Camp on January 20, 2013.  On May 19, 2013, it conducted Rheumatology camp.

On January 5, 2014, it had honoured 11 old students who had highest rank in SSLC from 1956-2004. During the Prathiba Puraskaram ceremony On January 11, 2015, it had honoured 10 oldest Alumni of above 85 years of old. Now the Association has more than 250 members.

 

Albertian Retired Staff Association

The Albertian Retired Staff Association was founded in the year 1995 on the particular day of St. Albert’s Day ie, November 15, 1995. The first patron of the association was the Very Rev Dr. Cornelius, the Archbishop of Verapoly.  The founder of the association was Rev. Fr. Francis Xavier Thanikkappily.

 

The governing committee comprises of the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer and the Executive members.  Four governing committees have been formed since the formation of the association in 1995.

 

The existing committee consists of

Jt. Secretary – A.V. Judith

Treasurer – T. V. Peter

 

The meetings of the association are being held twice a year during the Onam celebrations and an annual meeting with a tour yearly once.

 

The Albertian Retired Staff Association has instituted scholarships for meritorious students among the High school, UP and LP students which are distributed every year.

 

There are 112 active members in the association as of today.
